NETWORK

So you've just found your CALL device and you're not quite ready to see what hitting the [TRANSPORT] button does. Instead, you start looking around on the messaging apps to see who you can talk to: the HERO Network for heroes, the CAD network for villains, and the CALL network if curious to see who might answer. Need advice? Want to see what other people feel about an issue? Go for it...
CITY OF NIGHTMARE

So you actually hit that [TRANSPORT] button and while you can't say that the City of Tomorrow where you started at isn't neat and all but there's just so much to explore. But as you make your way across the bridge, a sudden rainstorm begins. Through the gloom and the lightning, you can make out a single building in the distance. It's not particularly welcoming, of course, but it does at least look dry and reasonably sturdy. What could go wrong here? Hopefully, someone in there has an idea of when the rain might stop. Or... someone will come soon?
CITY OF ROMANCE

It is a singularly beautiful night out in the City of Romance, even more singularly beautiful than most of the nights there, which are usually pretty nice. The sky is clear and dark, and it's just the right temperature out for a late picnic or a night of stargazing. It appears that some enterprising soul has put out a number of blankets in the park, though there are a limited number of them so you may have to share...
CITY OF ADVENTURE

You've been in the wilds of the City here for the last few hours. Hot, sweaty, and more than a little uncomfortable given the number of mosquito, you would almost think that someone heard your silent prayers as you come through the trees and spy the most amazing looking waterfall. Obviously, you've learned that many things are not as they seem in this City and that the beautiful can hide all manner of mysteries... but damn if that pool doesn't look like it'd feel amazing to dive into.

"Steve Rogers," he continues, "and, uh, the uniform's not here, but I also go by Captain America sometimes. You know... similar outfit to, uh, what you've got there."
Though as he says it, he almost winces because he's got something much closer to pants, after all.

He grins over at her and now that he's got his clothes on, reaches around to offer his hand for a shake.
"Either way, nice to meet you too, Diana. Thanks for the, uh... understanding. About the clothes."
no subject
She takes his hand and grasps it in a double-handed shake- an impressively firm one.

"I guess that'd make sense. But... we do have women, of course." He offers a faint smile. "My mother was one of them. And I've met a few since then."

She laughed. It didn't seem right to go right into the whole gender politics thing, explaining how the Amazons still see the outside world as controlled by men, despite many steps towards equality being made, a great accomplishment, every one of them.
"Of course. Though, from going from a small nation of all women to the United States, I'm sure you can imagine my culture shock. My dear friend, Steve Trevor, had been the first man I'd ever met- or even seen."
no subject
"I can see how that'd be a little odd." He's quiet for a moment, shifting his weight on his feet back and forth a couple times before--
"So... Wonder Woman?"
How do you even ask about that?
no subject
"We look quite a lot alike, many assumed we were the same woman, and I didn't speak very much english at the time." She still speaks with a faint accent, something similar to Greek.
"And what of your other title, Captain America? I'm guessing there was some connection to the military there?" There was something about him that made her mark him as a warrior, that was certain.
no subject
"You're not wrong about the military, though. The name started on the stage and they let me keep it when I managed not to get myself killed on a mission."
no subject
"You carry yourself like a warrior, I wouldn't have guessed you to be a performer as well." It isn't praise or a compliment, just a statement, as if she's used to picking soldiers out of crowds. She probably is, come to think of it.
...aaagh, sorry. I thought this'd been replied to. Apparently didn't send!
He liked to think. As much as anything else in his life has ever worked out. Honestly, the whole thing is mostly frustrating because he'll always wonder what he could have done if he'd been there earlier.
"And I guess 'warrior' isn't wrong. 'Soldier's the word I tend to use, though."
